Start drawers on a regular basis, either at the beginning of the day and/or at the beginning of your shift, to ensure accurate reporting and cash reconciliation. If you are a budtender, consult with your Manager about how often to start your drawer.
Drawer and till may be used interchangeably, and they refer to the physical cash drawer and the cash it contains.
You must start your drawer before you can begin ringing sales on the Register.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN.
- Enter a starting cash amount in the drawer.
You should count the cash and coins in your drawer to confirm the amount is accurate. You can enter either the total amount or tap the cash button and enter the quantities of each denomination.
- Select Start Drawer.
If you have a receipt printer connected, a receipt prints automatically.
Greenbits automatically begins compiling a Shift report in Back Office. If you need to add change to your drawer or make a safe drop during your shift, talk to your Manager about Paid in and Paid out.
