With Green Bits, your store can accept multiple payment types aside from cash, such as gift cards or debit cards. Here's how to get started.
Note: Green Bits does not support payment processing. To accept debit or credit payments, you must work with a third-party payment processor. The functionality outlined below is only for accounting purposes.
Enable additional Payment Methods in Back Office
By default, cash is the only payment method available in the Register app. To tender sales to other forms of payment, first go to the Settings gear in Back Office, then select Payment Methods.
If you don't see Payment Methods, you may not have the necessary permissions to view/edit Payment Methods. This can be updated on the Roles page under Manage Store Settings. If you don't have access to Roles, ask an Admin user to enable additional Payment Methods or update your permissions.
Check the boxes for the Payment Methods you want to accept.
Using multiple payment methods at the register
From the Pay With Cash screen, choose Other Payment Methods
Choose the payment type(s) the customer wants.
Enter the amount for each payment type and tap Save.
When you're finished, tap Tender.
When the sale is complete, the order summary screen and receipt will display all of the payment types that were used for the sale.
