Find your Negative Inventory

It's important to keep track of all Inventory on hand. If you have negative inventory on your account, this can be an indicator that your store may be out of compliance.

Products vs Packages/Lots

In order to be able to dig deep into your discrepancies, it's important to understand the difference between products in Green Bits versus packages/lots.

 

 

Products 

Products list all information relating to how you sell your products on the register & how they are listed on your menu services.  

When auditing it's important to remember: 

  • Products can have more than 1 package ID/lot number associated
  • Products can have multiple SKUs that are tied to the same package ID/lot number

 

Packages / Lots

Package IDs / Lot numbers are directly associated with RFID tags assigned by the state.  These are only visible with states that have Traceability.  

When auditing it's important to remember: 

  • METRC Packages can have more than SKU associated due to conversions
  • The amounts listed next to your Package IDs / Lot numbers are what appears in the state. 

 

The flow of your inventory should be: 

1. Incoming Manifests contain

2. Lot Numbers / Package IDs* that each have a unique

3. Barcode SKU

4. Associate these with a Product

 

* For inventory that needs to be converted: 

5. Find the original Product

6. Convert and assign a new Barcode SKU

7. Associate with a new Product. 

 

Find your Negative Products

 

Quickly find your negative products directly on your products page. 

  1. Click on Products.
  2. Click the Quantity tab. This will sort all of your products in order of smallest to largest quantity.

 

 

3. Click on the product name to open its Product page. 

4. Click the Inventory tab.  To see all packages, be sure to click "See Unsellable Products."   

 

The amount listed on your Product screen under "Quantity" as negative product is made up of the sum of all of your SKU quantities. 

Take note of the package ID / Lot numbers.  Investigating your negative package IDs will help you determine if you may be out of compliance.  Read more under find your negative packages.

 

Find your Negative Packages

For states with Traceability, your Packages/Lot numbers will list exactly what is in your state system.  If you have a negative package/lot listed on your packages/lot screen, there is a high chance that you are out of compliance

To see your negative packages: 

  1. Click on Inventory > Packages or Lots
  2. Click the Quantity tab. This will sort all of your products in order of smallest to largest quantity.

 

 

See all SKUs associated with your Package

Your packages can have multiple SKUs associated with them.  On your packages screen you can see all SKUs that are tied to the one package. 

  1.  Click on Inventory > Packages or Lots
  2. Next to each Active Package click Actions > Adjust Quantities
  3. The Adjust Packages screen lists each SKU and quantities of each
