Google Docs allows you to scan barcodes and record the counts on your iPad when conducting an inventory audit.
The document can then be exported as a .txt file and uploaded into the Green Bits audit tool.
Note: make sure you are using Google Docs, not Google Sheets. Google Sheets may not be able to keep up with how fast you scan, causing inaccuracies, and may also round off or auto-format longer SKUs as scientific notation, rendering them unreadable in the audit tool.
1. Go to the App Store on your iPad
2. Search for and download Google Docs
3. Open Google Docs and sign in
You will need a Google account for this process. If you use Gmail, use the same user name and password to log in here.
If you don't already have a Google account, we recommend creating one (free of charge), though you may alternatively use the iPad's Notes app or a standard word processing application on your computer.
4. Create a blank text document
