Update your License Number
Effective September 10th, 2018, Metrc users in Nevada will experience a change of their facility license numbers.
To continue syncing your Green Bits account to Metrc, you will need to generate a new API key in your Metrc account and update the Traceability settings in your Green Bits Back Office with your new license number.
Because a new license number has been assigned to license holders, the Metrc API key that was previously being used is no longer valid due to it being associated with your previous license number so a new key must be generated.
If you are unsure of how to regenerate an API key in Metrc, you can follow the tutorial below for assistance.
Regenerate your API Key
To regenerate your API key:
- Login to your Metrc account. (Note: The Metrc login used to regenerate the API key must have permissions enabled for sales reporting and package creation.)
- Generate a new API key. (See image below.)
- Highlight and copy the key.
Next, login to Green Bits and paste the new API key in the Traceability Settings page which can be found here: https://secure.greenbits.com/traceability.
Multi-location stores under the same Green Bits account will need to copy and paste the same API key into the Back Office Traceability Settings page for each Green Bits location. Any location that is not updated with the new API key will display a red message banner indicating the account is no longer syncing with Metrc.
What if I can't edit my license number?
Check the permissions assigned to your Role in the Back Office. Once on the Permissions page, scroll down to "Manage Store Settings" and click on the checkbox next to "Update license number," and then click Save at the top right of the page.
If you aren't able to see or save permissions for your Role, contact your Admin. Admins typically have the ability to edit the Roles and Permissions on the account.
