These extra steps for running your Oregon Quarterly Tax Report are required only if you sold items in an inappropriate unit of measure, such as packets of shatter sold as grams instead of units/each.

If you sold weight-based quantities from a Package assigned to a unit-based category, you'll need to take the weight sold and determine the number of units that weight corresponds to, then add the number of units sold to the appropriate row before submitting your Oregon Quarterly Tax Report. This is necessary because the Department of Revenue requires you to report these sales as units/each, even if they were originally recorded in grams.
These quantities appear separately in the Packages Sold as Weight in DOR Unit-Based Categories section, listed by the Package ID and the Product name in Greenbits.
Determine each item's weight per unit, then manually add its totals to the appropriate category row.
- The Product 0.5g Kief Sunset Haze belongs in the Cannabinoid Concentrate category and its weight per unit is 0.5 gram.
- The Total Quantity Sold (Med) column shows 1.5 g sold. At 0.5 g per unit, this corresponds to 3 units. Add 3 units to Total Quantity Sold (Med) for the Cannabinoid Concentrate category.
- Repeat for Total Quantity Sold (Rec), and for any additional items in the section. Note that the dollar amount of these sales is already accounted for, so you don't need to edit the Total Sales columns.
- Use the corrected totals to submit your quarterly tax return to the Department of Revenue.
