Note: This process applies to Washington users only. If you operate in any state other than Washington, see Reassign inventory to another product.
If you accidentally assigned inventory to the wrong product, or if you have duplicate products and you want to consolidate them, you may need to reassign a Barcode (SKU) to a different product. In doing so, you may encounter an error if you try to assign the same Barcode (SKU) to two different products. Barcodes (SKUs) can only be reused when the Products are the same.
If you attempt to assign a previously used Barcode (SKU) to a different product, you will receive an error message.
Select View Manifest and you will be redirected to the manifest page.
The manifests displayed will be any manifests where the Barcode (SKU) of the product that you are trying to reassign is used. In the example, the Barcode has been reused three times for the same product in three different Lots.
- Open the manifest.
- Find the Lot that has the product that you need to reassign.
- The Barcode (SKU) field is editable. Create a new Barcode, then select Save.
- You can now attempt to reassign a Barcode (SKU) to a different product.
