Oklahoma: How to assemble your monthly OMMA report
The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority requires dispensaries to submit a monthly report of cannabis inventory and sales.
Overview
To get the information you need from Greenbits:
- Edit your Product Types so they match the OMMA-defined Product Types. To make the process easier, use the same unit of measure for all Products within each Product Type.
- Learn about tips and tricks for working with spreadsheets.
- Download the report template from the OMMA website.
- Run the Oklahoma Monthly Report.
- Run the Sales Report.
- Run the Inventory Adjustment Report.
- Assemble the data from the three Greenbits reports into the template.
- Submit your completed report to OMMA.
Run the Oklahoma Monthly Report
- Go to Insights > OMMA Report - Export.
- Find the Oklahoma Monthly Report.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date of your reporting period.
- Select Run Report.
- When the report is ready, select Download. You can also download the report later from the Tasks page.
- Open the downloaded .csv file in your spreadsheet program. You may want to expand the column widths to make the report easier to read.
The report is divided into sections:
- Inventory start shows quantities on hand by Product Type at midnight local time on the first day of your reporting period.
- Inventory end shows quantities on hand by Product Type at 11:59:59 pm local time on the last day of your reporting period.
- Purchase Summary shows all new inventory you purchased during your reporting period, by Product Type.
Quantities are shown in either the Weight or Count column, depending on Product Type and the different reporting requirements for each Product Type:
-
- Edibles: Weight and Count.
- Flower/Shake/Trim: Weight only.
- Plants/Seeds: Count only.
- All other Product Types: Weight or Count.
At the bottom of the report is the Sales Summary, showing all sales during your reporting period by Product Type and by Patient Type
This report includes all of the information you'll need to report to OMMA, except for:
- Total dollar amount of all sales of medical marijuana.
- Total dollar amount of medical marijuana tax collected.
- Medical marijuana waste.
You can find this information in the Sales Report and Inventory Adjustment Report.
Run the Sales Report
- Select the Reports tab.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date of your reporting period.
- Note the Net Sales amount under the Marijuana column. This is your total sales of medical marijuana after Discounts and Returns, if any.
- Note the total amount of your medical marijuana tax shown in the Tax section. The name of your tax will match the name you entered when you set up your taxes.
Run the Inventory Adjustment Report
This report includes all inventory adjustments made during your specified time frame. Use this report to document any waste, or other medical marijuana inventory that can't be accounted for as having been sold or still remaining in inventory.
If you've made adjustments to non-marijuana inventory during this time frame, you can exclude these adjustments from the report by filtering the Product Type column.
- Go to Insights > Inventory Adjustments - Export.
- Scroll down to find the Inventory Adjustment Report.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date of your reporting period.
- Select Run Report.
- When the report is ready, select Download. You can also download the report later from the Tasks page.
- Open the downloaded .csv file in your spreadsheet program.
Submit your report
Assemble the data from the three Greenbits reports into your monthly report template and submit the completed report to OMMA by the 15th of the following month.
